Position Description:(primary functions)
Provides full range of administrative and support services to the office of the President
Minimum Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizes and manages the day-to-day activities of the President's office to ensure efficient and effective office operations; coordinates communications; assists with administrative matters
- Performs a variety of duties independently in support of functions delegated to the President; interprets and applies rules and regulations as appropriate
- Receives and transcribes dictation of letters and memoranda, including material confidential in nature; prepares correspondence independently or from oral instructions
- Maintains current budget information; monitors budget expenditures; assists in budget preparations as assigned
- Utilizes the computer to perform computer functions including, but not limited to, word processing charts, spreadsheets, as well as other software applications
- Initiates and answers telephone calls; screens and directs calls and visitors to appropriate personnel; schedules and confirms appointments
- Responds to requests for information from students, staff, and the general public regarding the institution’s programs, policies, procedures, and regulations
- Maintains a variety of files and records including some confidential in nature
- Schedules meetings and appointments; prepares agenda items for meetings; maintains records, attends meetings, and prepares minutes for distribution to appropriate personnel
- Receives and routes mail to the appropriate personnel; orders, issues and maintains department’s supplies and forms
- Performs other duties as assigned
